Andrew became Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of National Australia Bank in April 2024. He has more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry.
Andrew has a deep understanding of customers developed over a career in banking. As Chief Executive Officer, Andrew works alongside 38,000 colleagues to deliver the Group’s strategy to be the most customer-centric company in Australia and New Zealand.
He has been appointed Australian Banking Association Council Chair, working to support the nation’s strong, stable, and trusted banking system.
Andrew has worked for more than 25 years in business banking, including as NAB Group Executive, Business and Private Banking. In this role, Andrew had end-to-end accountability for the division to use data, insights, and technology to strengthen small and medium business and private banking customer and colleague engagement.
Prior to joining NAB in 2020, Andrew held several executive roles with the Bank of Montreal in Canada, including as Head of Canadian Business Banking where he gained expertise in digitisation and transformation.
Before joining Bank of Montreal in 2008, Andrew worked at McKinsey & Company as an Associate Principal in Toronto and as an Investment Banker in London, England with Credit Agricole.
Andrew has an undergraduate Degree with Honours in Business Management from King’s College in London, England, and an MBA with distinction from the Richard Ivey School of Business in London, Ontario. Andrew is also a Director of the Financial Markets Foundation for Children.
