Transport for NSW is delivering key projects as part of its commitment to Building a Better Dubbo. Key projects in and around the Dubbo region including the New Dubbo Bridge, the replacement of the Rawsonville Bridge and the Newell Highway Overtaking Lanes which is part of the Newell Highway Program delivering about 40 additional overtaking lanes and various safety upgrades along the Newell Highway.

As part of the Regional Rail Project, a new purpose-built maintenance centre is also being built in Dubbo to support the new fleet and stimulate the regional economy.

TfNSW is committed to providing opportunities for local and indigenous businesses and contractors to work on these projects. This is part of a state-wide focus on increasing regional jobs, developing skills and maximising opportunities for regional businesses.
