Mayoral Developers’ Forum presents chance to discuss ideas for City’s future:
Mayor of Dubbo Councillor Mathew Dickerson will be hosting the Mayoral Developers’ Forum on Wednesday 25 February and has extended an invitation to anyone interested in the development of Dubbo to attend.
“These forums are important events bringing members of the Dubbo development industry together with Councillors and Council officers to discuss matters of mutual interest and benefit,” Cr Dickerson said.
The emphasis of the forum is to strengthen the relationship between Dubbo developers and Council.
“The forum provides the opportunity for Council staff to provide updates on projects such as the Commercial Areas Development Strategy and for Dubbo’s developers to seek information in relation to Council’s planning and development functions, legislation or the future development of our City,” Clr Dickerson said.
Council staff will give an introduction to the CBD Plan Project and an update on Development Applications. Brent Rollings from NBN Co will also be providing an update on the progress of the NBN.
“This will be an informal forum where Council officers will provide updates on development in Dubbo but most importantly, the main purpose of the forum will be to discuss ideas and concerns or to generally seek further information in a relaxed and informal atmosphere.”
The forum will be held on Wednesday 25 February 2015, commencing at 5.30 pm in the Function Room of the Commercial Hotel. Light refreshments will be served.
