Changes in Board Policy

Event Booking's and Payments:

The Chamber has introduced a new online booking system for Chamber events. The new booking system allows members and guests to book their seat at our events. Pre-booking your seat allows us to advise the venue of the numbers for catering.

The new system allows you to book for more than one guest at a time and provides payment options of credit card, direct debit or to be invoiced.

The Board have agreed to a policy whereby bookings & prepayments are essential for catering purposes. No refunds will be given unless notice is given 24 hours prior to event date.

Membership Loyalty Policy

The Board is keen to support its members. For this reason the Board has decided that when it purchases good and services preference will be given to Chamber members who can supply the goods or services required.

If the good or services is not able to be supplied by a member, the Chamber will then seek quotations and/or make purchases from local businesses, but won’t guarantee to buy the item from them, if we can get it for a significantly lower price from another supplier.

In regards to Sponsorship, the Board recognises that a number of businesses are members, as well as sponsors of Chamber events. The Board has decided to provide greater benefits to members who sponsor events than non-members. These benefits will be advised as each sponsorship is negotiated, but for example: non-member breakfast sponsors will not be entitled to the 4 promotional blasts in our weekly newsletter, they will only receive the benefit of branding on the invitation; speaking for 5 minutes and distributing information at the breakfast event.

The Board appreciates the continued support by its members and looks forward to implementing activities that will help you expand your networks and develop your business.
