Last call for Rhino Awards tickets. Today (Wednesday) is the last day to buy your tickets for this Friday’s Orana Mutual 2014 Rhino Awards. There are just a few left, so please try to book early this morning if you would like to attend this great night.

The Dubbo Chamber AGM is coming up soon too on December 9th. In the next few weeks you will be able to nominate to election to the Board for 2015. As a first year Board member I have found it very interesting and worthwhile doing - all going well I should be back for another year. If your interested - seek out and talk to one of the current Board members about what’s involved and nominate yourself. It’s your Chamber and the decisions are made by those that turn up.

Orana Mutual 2014 Rhino Awards - Last Day for Tickets

Tickets for the Orana Mutual 2014 Rhino Awards are now on sale.

In the spirit of the theme of “fast forward”, this year the Chamber has introduced electronic ticketing using technology supplied by eventbrite.

Tickets to Dubbo’s premier business event are priced at $165 p.p. which includes pre-dinner drinks on the Terrace, a sumptuous 3 course meal, a stellar line up of international entertainment and drinks (beer, wine and soft drink) during dinner.

You are welcome to buy just 1 ticket, or put together a table. On the night table sizing includes 10, 16 or 24 seats. (if you are buying a table, we recommend that you buy the seats in one purchase).

Please note, our Seat Map shows the location for Gala Ticket seating. Specific seating will be assigned to allow for guests to sit near others in their group

The highlight of the Dubbo business calendar, the Rhino Awards recognises and celebrates business achieving excellence in the Dubbo business community.

Dubbo Chamber is moving our offices soon and we no longer need our board table and chairs. If your interested in buying them, contact Toni Beatty on 6884 4883 asap.

Graffiti Removal Day
Graffiti Removal Day is being held on 26th October 2014 and they are currently encouraging members of the public to volunteer to work on the day as well as nominate sites that require cleaning.

Funding for Council’s Event Support and Development Program now open Applications for funding for $1001 or more are now invited from event organisers seeking assistance from Dubbo City Council via its Event Support and Development Program for events to be held in 2015. Applications close November 7.

NSW Young Achiever Awards
The NSW / ACT Young Achiever Awards highlight and reward the valuable contribution our outstanding youth make towards building stronger local communities and a vibrant state. Nominate an outstanding Young Achiever today between the ages of 12 and 28 in a variety of fields of endeavour! Nominations close December 4th, 2014.

Quest Dubbo - Quest Business Awards Finalist

Steve Hornby Property Manager at Quest Serviced Apartments Dubbo is 1 of only 3 Nominees at the Quest Annual Gala Dinner to be held at Melbourne Town Hall next Saturday Evening to take out the Business Development Executive award.

Quest has over 150 properties across Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. Steve was very much looking forward to attending this year’s Rhino Awards but his nomination will result in him missing the evening, Steve said “he wishes all the nominees for this year’s Rhino Awards good luck! And is sure all will have a fabulous night” He is also hopeful that Quest Dubbo as a property can report good news after the awards in Melbourne.

Dubbo Regional Entertainment Arts & Music (DREAM) Festival is community festival that welcomes everyone; embraces our regions many facets and grows as we celebrate our region. Each festival brings a series of entertainment, theatre, dance, visual arts, music and outdoor events from local and professional groups and artists.

Energy Management Basics Training

Limited places – book early! This is a practical and interactive course to assist businesses to understand their energy use, use energy more efficiently and to identify funding and support opportunities. Any sized business welcome. Usual eligibility criteria to participate is being wavered for these sessions. Solar for business will also be covered.

Dubbo dates are Thursday & Friday, 13th & 14th of November.

EMS Group - Tri for Charity Triathlon - Nov 22

The Tri for Charity is an event for teams of 3 to take part in a short triathlon to raise money for the Make a Wish Foundation!

Businesses are encouraged to enter mixed teams and bring along family & friends to support them on the day!

EMS are also looking for Dubbo Businesses to donate some prizes.
